01:13 pm - I just woke up!
I didn't manage to wander into the house until almost 6am, a relative unheard of situation for me.

I had a blast last night spending the New Years with many of my friends.

DZ, like I told you last night, I had more fun this year then last year. Thank you for inviting me for the good times, I hope you had as much fun as I did since you had to go through so much planning and spending.

Oh yea. I passed spanish 3, with a C-. Total GPA is a 2.957. I wanted to get over a 3.0 but considering all I've done in my college career, if I can just graduate with a half-decent GPA I'll be over-joyed.

01:04 am - Movies!
If you know me then you probably know of my fondness of movies, typically of all genres and ideas; having said that I have seen more then my fair share of ok movies, some bad movies along the way (Unbreakable), and some instant-must-always-watch classics (The Shawshank Redemption).

One of the most important aspects of any movie should be its ability to draw the viewer into the silver screen, and when that effect is able to be achieved properly, even without obtaining perfection, a 2 and a half hour movie seems as if it were the briefest of movies. The hardest part about achieving that though is keeping the pace of the movie moving at a steady pace, and to have as few pointless additions as possible.

Which leads me to the main thrust of this uncharacteristically long and rambling post. Having just returned home, I can say it does the whole Superman and DC comic's franchise justice. I went in expecting a great movie, and was not disappointed, from the first trailer (more on that later) till the ending credits. I think Singer went the right direction when picking an unknown for the dual-role of Kent/Superman. He pulled off both superbly. Kevin Spacey did a fantastic job as Lex Luthor, that man was born to play a villainous role. Here's to hoping for more of both of them in the future as the series continues to grow. I do have to wonder though, how would have X3 turned out, if Brian Singer hadn't went and made Superman Returns, fairly certain it wouldn't have been crap on celluloid.

Returning now to the aforementioned trailer. I don't usually get super excited about a movie until it gets closer to the release date, but with Spider-Man 3 I think it will be an exception to the rule. I cannot stress in words, that make sense no less, how much I'm looking forward to seeing the black Spidey costume, and even if Venom's only shown at the ending, like Osborn Jr. learning about the Green Goblin heritage, I will be contented, sad beyond words, but contented.

10:52 am - Bite My Shiney Metal...
While not as entertaining as Family Guy, although really what is, Futurama will be returning to television before too long. I hope Comedy Central can do it justice and does not immediately pull the plug if the 13 they've bought do not jump to the top of the ratings.

In other news, http://media.putfile.com/spiderman3-teaser . The teaser is small, grainy, and by the looks of things very unpolished, but that could just be the compression used on that site. However, the important thing of note is that there is a clearly, unmistakable Venom in there. BOOOOOOY HOWDY!

a Ninja
You scored 8 Honor, 5 Justice, 5 Adventure, and 5 Individuality!
You are a soldier of the night. You rely on no more than your cunning and your repuation to strike fear in the hearts of lord and peasant alike. You've a sense of honor, but one that comes from within, not imposed from outside.

Black clothes and shuriken for you. You're gonna do just fine.

01:21 am - A brief lol...
I'm writing a paper for my Philosophy and Film class on the Problem of Evil and how it relates to God...

Fast Forward 2 hours where I search for quotes on Evil to support my stance on the definition of evil being too strict, but I digress. If you search for "evil" on Yahoo, the 4th hit is the Microsoft homepage. It definitely got a LOL.

I think I dodged a bullet last night, and got off light. Sometime between when I got home from bowling around 11:40, and 8:40 this morning someone got into my car. And the only thing that was taken was my CD player, the Cassette adapter, the power charger that goes into the cigeratte lighter, and the most recent Audioslave CD.

I have a theory, that it likely happened around 3 am, before I went to bed. Just totally based on who breaks into a car to only steal a CD package, but as I left the living room I turned on the Carport lights; I don't know what made me do it, but I did it w/o thinking.

Its a Trimuph bit, done from the Jackson trial of last year. It was fairly funny all the way through, but really reached its peak about a minute before it ended. Well done ole boy, well done.

Mastermind
You scored 74% Subtlety, 55% Leadership, and 85% Forethought!
Excellent. A team-based group of professionals. We don't get your kind much out of heist films, but a Mastermind-type thief can always pull off the most dubious shit in the book. Ocean's Eleven? Don't make me laugh. You keep it smart, keep it under the radar. Keep it like that, and nobody notices when one guy distracts, and another rifles through the audience's pockets, purses, and papers. Steal the world, friend.

Ideal Targets: The Louvre, Fort Knox.
Ideal Heists: Grand, grand, grand, grand, grand Larceny.
Movies: Foolproof (but let's face it, you could *write* these things)

Please rate this well.

Don't want to stay at home tonight, but don't want to go out either. I think I shall spend some quality time with a dear friend I haven't seen in a while; the silver screen.
